“Thank you for such great service! I was apprehensive about coming in for the first time, as was my son. I was because I know the treatment is not going to be cheap, and I was glad that Dr. Johnson didn’t want to rush right into treatment. The customer is king! The office is beautiful and comfortable—so much so I usually came a little early to sit with a cup of coffee. The staff are friendly and efficient. So much so I never got to sit as long as I intended in the waiting room—ha! My daughter gets her braces next week. I am actually looking forward to spending time in that office. When I got braces, I was scared. “When I got them on, I thought it would hurt but it did not. When I go for my six weeks checkup and every time I have gone there, the staff has always been nice to me, so I cannot wait to get my bottom braces.”

Dr. Wheelock is always there. “I am never left to think that my son’s care is being managed by another staff member. Nothing is done without his oversight or more often, by him doing the work himself. Everyone in the office is friendly and helpful. No one ever says ‘that’s not my job’ or ‘I can’t help you with that.’ You can tell that his staff is chosen and trained carefully and held to a very high standard, whether in reception, financials, or patient care. My oldest son is currently in treatment, and when he is finished I will be taking my middle son to start on his. We are moving to South Carolina later this year, and I have no intention of changing orthodontists. I will happily drive six hours back to Roanoke to have my boys treated by Dr. Wheelock and his staff. That’s pretty high praise with the price of gas these days!”
